There is an exciting and inviting opportunity for an IT Helpdesk Support Tech based in our Corporate Office. The IT Helpdesk Support Tech will take initial steps to help the company with any IT needs that arise. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, in this position you will be responsible for taking telephone, email, and helpdesk inquiries from staff in order to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues.

Duties and responsibilities can vary. A partial list includes:

  • Taking initial telephone, email, or helpdesk inquires
  • Logging Helpdesk Support notes
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Recognize and escalate more difficult problems to System Administrators or the IT Department Manager
  • Conducting server and workstation builds
  • Provide both technical and non-technical support to users
  • Assist with analysis and maintenance of WAN and LAN networks
  • Assist with computer equipment and software inventory
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with staff. Act as an information resource and respond to inquiries
  • Compile and document network and system changes
  • Resolve simple printer issues and work with printer vendor support
  • May assist with maintenance of networking and wireless networks
  • Comply with JS West and IT Department Policies and Procedures

 

Job Requirements:

  • Be enthusiastic about technology and supporting others
  • DMV license
  • Travel to remote offices
  • Able to lift 40 pounds
